Notice Notice Regarding the Closure of the Imperial Hotel Tokyo Tower Building and the Continued Operation of the Main Building

Originally opened in 1983 as Japan's first building complex furnished with a hotel, offices and retail facilities, the Imperial Hotel Tokyo Tower is scheduled to be demolished and rebuilt over the period of 2024 to 2030, as outlined back in 2021.
Please be aware of the following information regarding the tower's closure and its duration.
Note that the Main Building will remain open throughout this period.
We will continue striving to improve our services. We would like to thank you for your continued support during this time.

Closure Dates

Late March 2024

  • Bar:Hotel Bar, Restaurants:Tokyo Kitcho, Sushigen, Ten-ichi, Peking
  • Tower offices
  • Imperial Hotel Plaza Tokyo

Late June 2024

  • Restaurants: La Brasserie, Imperial Hotel Torakuro *
  • Serviced apartments
  • Hotel shops: Gargantua Delicatessen*
  • Fitness Center, Pool and Saunas*
  • Banquet halls: Hikari Room
  • *
    Imperial Hotel Torakuro, Gargantua Delicatessen, and the Fitness Center (excluding Pool and Saunas) will be moved into the Imperial Hotel Main Building.

Continued Operation of the Imperial Hotel Tokyo Main Building

The Main Building is scheduled to remain in operation until 2030.
