7The rich epicurean history of The Imperial saw one chapter devoted to ne Italian food. Named Cicerone and co-produced for us with the expertise of Rome’s venerable Hotel Hassler atop the Spanish Steps, it was one of the few authentic Italian dining rooms in Japan when it opened in 1997.The kitchen was presided over by the Hassler’s extraordinary Chef Paolo Londero and it delighted many of our international patrons.Cicerone set the stage for the arrival in Tokyo of a whole new parade of dining choices celebrating the tastes and avors of Italy.CICERONE ITALIAN
