Nobuo Murakami - in Photos and Documents, February 5th, 2019
Nobuo Murakami (1921-2005), affectionately known as "Monsieur," among his colleagues, was head chef at the Imperial Hotel. In 1964, in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics, he was one of the head chefs at the athletes' dining facility and, as such, researched the traditional cuisine of many different countries, showcasing his skills for the athletes. And his achievements went beyond just cuisine. He was greatly appreciated, too, for his human qualities. Both are introduced in these documents and photographs.
