Q Can I make reservations on the day I wish to arrive?
A

Reservations are certainly possible, though it will depend on occupancy availability. Please either telephone us to check, or check for vacancies online.

Q Can I specify the floor or location I wish to stay in?

This is certainly possible, though it will depend on occupancy availability. Please inquire directly.

Q Do you offer any non-smoking rooms?
A

We unfortunately do not offer non-smoking rooms.

Q Our children are still small, so how does this change the room price?
A

Children may sleep in the same bed as their parents at no extra charge.

Q If the internet site says there are no vacancies, does this mean you have no more rooms available?
A

There may be instances when we may be able to accommodate you, so please inquire directly.

Q What are your check-in and check-out times?
A

Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m.

Q What should I do if I will be checking in late?
A

Please let us know in advance. Please note that guests are requested to arrive at the hotel before 6:00 p.m. as the Nakano-yu Gate at Kama Tunnel which is the entrance to Kamikochi is closed at night.

Q Can you hold my luggage before I check in or after I check out?
A

We shall be pleased to take care of your luggage at the Bell Captain’s Desk.

Q Which credit cards do you accept?
A

We accept the following cards: AX / VS / MS / UC / DC / DN / JCB / SA and so on.

There may be limitations for cards not listed above, or at certain shops or restaurants, so please inquire for details.

Q What are your cancellation charges?
A

The following charges will apply if you cancel your reservations.

Cancellation 4~5 days before arrival: 20%
Cancellation 2~3 days before arrival: 50%
Cancellation the day before arrival: 80%
Cancellation on the day of arrival: 100%
No-show: 100%

Q Can I check or cancel reservations I made through the internet reservation system?
A

Please follow the procedures at “View, Amend or Cancel Your Reservation" or telephone us directly.

Services

Q What amenities are available in the guestrooms?
A

We provide bath amenities (Shampoo, Conditioner, Body wash), DVD player, hair dryer, pyjamas, bathrobes, safety box, stand mirror, music box, field glasses etc. Please inquire for details.

Q What items may I borrow for usage in the rooms?
A

We provide the humidifier, the trouser press, the desk lamp, blankets, the CD/MD player, speaker, Guidebooks of Kamikochi etc. Please inquire for details.

Q What are parking charges for resident guests?
A

Please note that the private cars are restricted in Kamikochi and they have to park at either Hirayu parking area or Sawando parking area. Shuttle bus and taxi are available at both parking area.

Q What sort of items may I borrow for young children?
A

We offer baby beds (2,200 yen (consumption tax inclusive * )), step-stools, children’s toilet seats, as well as children’s toothbrushes, pyjamas and slippers. However we stock limited numbers, so please inquire directly for details.

Q Do you provide additional beds?
A

We provide additional beds at a cost of 5,500 yen (consumption tax inclusive * ) per person. We stock limited numbers, so please make your request when you book.

Q Do you offer any flowers or cakes or the like for guests staying on a special commemorative night?
A

Yes, we do, so please make your request when you book.

Q What hours is room service available?
A

Room service is available from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Q Do you offer handicapped-accessible rooms?
A

Unfortunately we are unable to offer rooms equipped with accessible facilities for customers with disabilities. However, we have shower seats, bathroom grab bars, bath boards and more available for you to use. Please inquire when making a reservation, as there are a limited number available.

Q Do you allow pets?
A

We ask that you not bring any pets into the hotel (with the exception of guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service dogs for handicapped patrons).

Q Is internet access available?
A

Residents guests may use high-speed LAN for free of charge in their rooms. We also provide Wi-Fi connections. Please inquire the staff at the Front Desk.

Q Are there computers I can rent?
A

We unfortunately do not rent computers.
