The Gargantua delicatessen opened its doors, in 1971 as a way to provide our patrons with the many diverse flavors of the Imperial Hotel in the comfort of their own home. We offer an enticing, sophisticated assortment of tempting gourmet foods, freshly baked breads, elegant pastries, sandwiches, chocolates, wines and various gift options, several representing our Frank Lloyd Wright heritage. The name "Gargantua" comes from the name of a king, a connoisseur of fine food, introduced in a novel by the famous 16th century French writer Francois Rabelais.
