The Ballrooms Peacock Room
The Peacock Room has welcomed esteemed guests as one of Japan’s most well-known large ballrooms since when the “Wright Building”—designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1923 as the second-generation main building of the Imperial Hotel—began operations up until the present-day Main Building. This ballroom’s name in the Imperial Hotel, Osaka also comes from its peacock-shaped Oya stone on pillars at all eight corners. The image of the Wright Building has been impressively recreated here using natural stones such as Oya stone, granite and limestone. This ballroom is one of the largest in the Kansai area.
