We have partnered with two Michelin three-star restaurants, Kagurazaka Ishikawa and Kohaku, leaders in contemporary Japanese cuisine.
Masashi Takami has honed his skills at both of these restaurants, and now we welcome him to the Imperial Hotel. We have been developing our French cuisine for over a century, and now we are delighted to bring new Japanese cuisine to our customers, too.

SAN APPLAUSE
Operated by the age-old Japanese restaurant Nadaman, this contemporary Japanese-style restaurant offers a new dining experience. While relaxing in the comfortable surroundings, guests can enjoy classic tastes alongside carefully selected sakes. The perfect setting for mature guests, the relaxing mood is enhanced by artworks made from age-old inlaid wood based on a “charcoal” and “Japanese cedar” theme.

“From the taste of Edo, to the taste of Japan, and from the taste of Japan, to the taste of the world.” This is how the Japanese were able to refine the seafood dishes brought by early European traders. We serve freshly fried tempura, a “delicacy of the world,” made from seasonal ingredients deep-fried right before your eyes.
FRENCH CUISINE
Incorporating new sensibilities with classic traditions, each dish offers a parade of surprises and discoveries, delivered by Chef Thierry Voisin - once the head chef at Les Crayeres, one of the finest restaurants in France’s Champagne region. The restaurant interior was designed with a “classical-modern” theme, which combines the majestic feel of a main dining hall with a refined contemporary mood.

THE IMPERIAL VIKING SAL
The Imperial Viking Sal is the Imperial Hotel’s buffet restaurant, and Japan’s very first “viking” buffet eatery. Our experienced chefs prepare the food right in front of you, with a menu featuring dynamic roasts and fragrant freshly baked pies. Lunch offers a view over the luscious greenery of Hibiya Park while dinner can be enjoyed alongside Tokyo’s scintillating night view. How better to spend some precious time with close family and friends?
PARKSIDE DINER
Parkside Diner offers all-day dining, from early in the morning to late at night. Choose from a spot at the counter, a spacious bench, or a soft seat by the window, and enjoy the new Imperial hotel-style dining experience just as you like. In addition to some Imperial Hotel classics - the Imperial Pancake, American Clubhouse Sandwich, and Vegetable Curry - the menu includes an assortment of scrumptious delights, including generously-sized diner style hamburgers and American-style pies and sundaes.
