Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji

The Mount Fuji, the Imperial Hotel's first original cocktail, celebrated its 100th anniversary last year, having been created in 1924.
It was conceived as a welcome cocktail for a celebratory party held at the Imperial Hotel to honor a group of Western passengers arriving in Japan on an around-the-world cruise at the time. The cocktail evokes the moment the red sun rises above a snow-capped Mount Fuji.
The recipe features a blend of seven ingredients: Old Tom Gin as the base, mixed with lemon juice, pineapple juice, egg white, fresh cream, syrup, and cherry liqueur. This recipe has been passed down unchanged since its creation.
We invite you to enjoy this signature drink, which was crafted by the Imperial Hotel—born to serve as Japan's premier guesthouse—specifically to welcome international guests.
